What is Discovering Christ?
Discovering Christ is a 7-week experience inviting people at all levels in their faith to come together in a welcoming environment to explore what relevance Jesus has for their lives today. (This Lent the series is offered to those ages 18 and up.) The course consists of seven sessions and a retreat day on March 31, 2012. This course is designed for you to revitalize your faith or to bring your friends and family who have been away from the church and are open to exploring the meaning of life in Jesus Christ.
What is the structure of the evening?
What happens at an evening session?
Participants enjoy a meal together, get to know each other and their small group leader, and then following the meal a teaching is offered that responds to some of the basic questions we all ask: What's life all about? Why does Jesus matter? Does God really love me? Who needs a savior? After coffee and dessert there's a chance for small group discussions to talk about what we just heard.
